The happiness of a human being is characterized by two things: their hobbies and their appetite. There is nothing more accurate than the phrase, "Full belly, happy person". Happiness is felt through feelings of safety, peacefulness, and calmness in the home. It is only when we smell a home-cooked meal that we are transported to our home and the happiness within it! By cooking, you can understand more cultures, flavors, customs, textures, and recipes than you could ever imagine t Investing time within the kitchen can ease stress and relentlessness, and enhance mindfulness while reducing anxiety. Cooking plays a gigantic part in each person's imagination and creativity. In fact, one of people’s biggest fears is cooking, but with perseverance, discipline, fun, and a touch of our magic you will enjoy the Art of Cooking for your loved ones!
In this time of social distancing and quarantine, we have created a cooking club called Meet N’ Eat. Our club’s objective is to share with you some bits of our happiness! We specifically share Venezuelan dishes that always make people tremble with it’s identity and feel that it takes you to any place, moment or experience. This is a learning opportunity in which people have the option to undertake challenges while cooking, develop new skills, work collaboratively and show commitment and perseverance. We share cooking experiences with students, teachers, family and friends who want to participate in our EBV (Escuela Bella Vista) Online Cooking Club through an Online route. Throughout this process, we have been able to incorporate a piece of culture from each student. In each class everyone shares their little tip, secret and/or technique. Even moms are present in these varied classes in order to spend a fun time and learn something new each day. We even have shared classes in which each student has to prepare a different recipe which highlights the individualism and creativity of each member. From this experience, we have learned the history, motive and culture of each recipe. The meaning and the stories behind each culinary recipe motivates us to continue producing and teaching more recipes to all of our members.
This proves that cooking does not always have to be a monotonous and boring activity; this can be an activity full of laughter and found feelings towards your country and its flavors. We are proud to be able to observe every day the great culinary development of all our Sous Chefs, which is the expansion of our club. Overall, our club is a magical opportunity to share recipes, but more than that, it is the process of sharing moments and experiences that makes it special. Each moment lived has brought lessons that have served to our benefit , and formed the values, customs and identities of each one of our members. It allows us the opportunity to teach more about our country and for them show us a little bit of theirs. For everyone, Meet N 'Eat is not a just club, it became a family.
